What we do

Web design and SEO for businesses between Henley and Windsor

Five services from one small studio in Maidenhead. Most clients start with a website and stay for the part where it keeps getting found.

How a project runs

From the first note to the day after launch

The detail changes a little from service to service, but most projects follow the same course.

It starts with a conversation

Send a short note about what you sell, where, and what is not working. You will get a straight answer within a working day, usually with a question or two, and sometimes with the news that you do not need us.

Then we take a sounding

On a river, a sounding is a depth reading taken before the boat goes anywhere. For us it is a look at what already exists, meaning the current site, how it is found, the Google profile and who else turns up for the searches that matter to you. It decides what to build and what to leave alone.

A plan and a price, in writing

The quote comes from the ranges below, narrowed by the number of pages, the amount of writing and whether an old site needs migrating. It says what you are getting and when. Nothing in it should surprise you.

Design and build, with you looking on

Imogen Pryce plans the pages around the questions your customers type, in the order they ask them. Dev Malhotra builds for speed, accessibility and search from the first line. You see the work on a private link while it is still easy to change.

Launch without losing anything

If there is an old site, we record what ranks before touching it, redirect every address that matters and check Search Console and the Google profile in the first weeks. Dev wrote up the method in redesigning without losing your rankings.

Afterwards, the site gets looked after

A website left alone slowly goes stale. The Form covers hosting, care and small changes, and a monthly SEO retainer keeps the site climbing. You choose what you need.

Prices

What it costs, in pounds

Every project is quoted after a conversation. These are the ranges most Thames Valley businesses land in, published so you can rule us in or out before you write. Prices are before VAT.

  • Towpath

    £2,400–£3,800

A sharp five-to-eight page site for one location, with local SEO and Google Business Profile set up properly.

  • Reach

    £4,500–£8,500

A larger site with town pages across the valley and a content plan. On the river, a reach is the stretch between two locks.

  • The Form

    from £95 a month

Hosting, care and small changes. A hare doesn't burrow; it keeps a shallow hollow in the grass called a form, and this is where your site lives.

  • SEO retainers

    from £650 a month

Monthly local or content-led SEO, reported in plain English.

Questions

Before you get in touch

Which service should I start with?

If you run a restaurant, pub, hotel or wedding venue, start with the venue and hospitality page, because it is the work we know best. For any other business with an old or slow website, start with web design. If the site is fine and the phone is quiet, local SEO or B2B SEO is the better first conversation.

Do you only work in Maidenhead?

We work with businesses from Henley to Windsor and along the M4 corridor from Slough to Reading. The towns we know best are on the Thames Valley page. If you are further afield, send a note and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right studio.

Are the prices fixed?

The ranges are real and published, and every price is before VAT. Your quote is written after a conversation, once we know how many pages you need, how much writing there is and whether an old site has to be migrated.

Can I have SEO without a new website?

Yes, if the site you have can carry it. The first conversation includes an honest look at the existing site. If it is holding the search work back, we will say so and explain what would fix it.

Who will I deal with?

A small team. Nick Halden founded the studio and runs projects, Dev Malhotra builds, Imogen Pryce writes and Hattie Clarke looks after local SEO and Google Business Profiles. You talk to the person doing the work.

Tell us what the website needs to do

A short note is plenty. Tell us what you sell, where, and what isn't working, and you'll get a straight answer within a working day, even when the answer is that you don't need us.
