The Thames Valley
Web design and SEO from Henley to Windsor
One studio in Maidenhead and a river that runs past most of our clients. Each town has its own customers, seasons and competitors, so each gets its own page, written by people who have walked the High Street.

The core stretch
Six towns we know well
Start with the river and move out. Each page says what is true of that town and nowhere else.
- MaidenheadBerkshireHome base. A commuter town remade by the Elizabeth line, with a regenerating centre, Boulter's Lock and a high street of independents competing with Reading and Windsor for the same spend.
- MarlowBuckinghamshireA small, prosperous riverside town with an outsized restaurant scene and a High Street of boutiques, where visitors search by name and locals search by need.
- Henley-on-ThamesOxfordshireRowing, regatta week and a year-round market of hotels, estate agents and wedding businesses whose search demand spikes hard around the turn of June and July.
- WindsorBerkshireCoachloads of day visitors and a separate local economy underneath them, where hospitality fights for tourists and trades fight for residents in the same search results.
- CookhamBerkshireA riverside village of gastropubs, moorings and Stanley Spencer pilgrims, where a handful of businesses compete for a lot of weekend search.
- BrayBerkshireA tiny village with a world-famous dining reputation, so every restaurant, B&B and cab firm nearby is searched by people who already know the name.
The ring around them
Towns either side of the river
Within easy reach of the core stretch, and each with a business mix of its own.
- Bourne EndBuckinghamshireSailing club, marinas and a village centre of trades and family services, where most work comes from within five miles and Google Maps decides who gets the call.
- BeaconsfieldBuckinghamshireAn affluent old town and a newer town with high-ticket clinics, interiors firms and private schools, where buyers research properly before they ring.
- ReadingBerkshireThe valley's big town and the western anchor of the M4 tech corridor, with B2B firms, professional services and a very competitive local search market.
- WokinghamBerkshireA fast-growing market town of new estates and young families, where home services, nurseries and health businesses live or die on reviews.
- TwyfordBerkshireA commuter village on the Elizabeth line and the Henley branch, small enough that a well-built local site can own its searches outright.
- SloughBerkshireEurope's biggest single-owner trading estate and a dense mix of logistics, data centres and trade counters, mostly B2B and mostly under-served by good websites.
How we work across towns
Pages for places we can speak about
We are one studio, in Maidenhead, and many clients serve more than one town. We do not publish a page for every postcode with the town name swapped in. Google calls that a doorway page, readers can tell, and it does the business no good.
Where a client genuinely serves Marlow or Windsor, the page about Marlow or Windsor says something true about it. That means which customers, which seasons and what sits nearby. Where a client does not serve a town, we leave it out. The Google Business Profile follows the same rule and shows the real location rather than a borrowed one.
The full method, including what to avoid, is in our post on the subject.
Your town
Tell us where your customers are
Name the towns you serve and the ones you would like to. We will say which are worth a page and which are not, within a working day.
